Getting to work
Commuting from Harbach Lofts
The building is in the Court District, inside the downtown core. Here is where the bus hub, the big downtown employers and the airport are, in miles.
The bus and getting around
DART Central Station, the hub for Des Moines Area Regional Transit, is 0.3 miles from the door at 620 Cherry St. Routes, numbers and schedules are set by DART and change, so plan a trip at ridedart.com from this address rather than relying on a route number printed here. In the building there is secure bike storage with a repair stand.
The downtown employers
Many of the largest downtown workplaces are within a mile on foot: EMC Insurance 0.4 miles, Wells Fargo's Walnut Street campus 0.7 miles, Principal Financial 0.8 miles, Nationwide 0.8 miles, and the MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center 1.4 miles. The Polk County Courthouse is 0.3 miles.
We give miles, not drive times. A trip at 8 a.m. and the same trip at 11 a.m. take different amounts of time, and a figure on a web page is a promise nobody can keep.
By car
Des Moines International Airport is a 5.0-mile drive south, and Drake University is 3.6 miles by road. We do not have confirmed vehicle parking details to publish for the building yet; ask the leasing team. Harbach Lofts has studios, one bedrooms and two bedroom homes, from 427 to 1,103 square feet, each with a full-size washer and dryer and an updated kitchen inside the original 1906 shell. Live pricing for every open home is on the availability page.
