How to apply at Harbach Lofts

The steps

  1. Tour. Tap Schedule a Tour on any page to book a time with Nora, the leasing assistant, or call or text (515) 644-5461. Tours are in person. Call to confirm the current office hours.
  2. Pick a home. Every open home is listed live on the availability page with its size and exact rent, from Newbury Living's leasing system.
  3. Apply. Screening criteria are provided with the application.

Fees and screening

  • Application fee: $60 per applicant
  • Security deposit: $350
  • Household income: at least 3 times the rent
  • Minimum credit score: 625
  • A positive rental and criminal history
  • Pets: a non-refundable pet fee and monthly pet rent apply; call for the current amounts

Water, sewer and trash are billed back at a flat fee based on the home's size, on top of rent. Residents set up their own electricity and gas with MidAmerican Energy. We do not print rent here because it changes with every opening; the availability page has the live figure. The pet policy is set out in full on its own page.

After you move in

Rent is paid and maintenance is requested through the resident portal. Harbach Lofts has studios, one bedrooms and two bedroom homes, from 427 to 1,103 square feet, each with a full-size washer and dryer and an updated kitchen inside the original 1906 shell.
